It Was a WebKinz Weekend

This weekend was the annual Webkinz Extravaganza and we jumped in with both feet.

Until this past week, Gigi only had one Webkinz – a lil Unicorn named Rose Petal. This week we found a store that started the promo where you spend $10 and get a free Webkinz early, so she got a new Pink Poodle she named Princess Sparkle, and then she ended up with a Maltese (they call it a Yorkie) she named Echo.

I even ended up with a Wbkinz, and my own account. I got a lil Pink Poodle and named her Lily. Now I can send messages and gifts to my daughter.

I suppose if there is going to be any online gaming here at the house involving my daughter. I prefer that it be the Webkinz site. I also like the Cartoon Doll Emporium, if you must know. These are both sites that do not really have any outgoing links and the content is 100% kid friendly.

So, we come to the end of the Extravaganza, which means I can log in less to check if there is an hourly activity of give-away. Of course, I have to convince my daughter that the pace will slow for now. And I am glad of that. The site has been quite literally overwhelmed with players this weekend and we have been kicked out of our login over and over. It will be nice to go back to a slower pace.
