I have used hairbrushes with plastic bristles for as long as I can remember. I suppose I like them, because they are easy to clean, durable and not too expensive. Here, I posted a picture of what most of my brushes look like. I am willing to bet most of you use brushes with similar bristles.

It turns out that the best type of hair brush to use is a boar-bristle brush. Why? Well, boar bristles evenly distribute the natural oil in your hair. And, despite what you might think about that oil, it is very healthy in the management of silky, strong strands when you brush from root to tip. It helps the bottom flip up and out so that you have a fuller, more lifted look.

This is especially helpful for anyone who has heavy hair. It is such a simple change to make.
