I only have a few old clients I keep in my freelancing efforts on a regular basis. I suppose I have just slacked off on doing the things I need to d in order to solicit new business.

The thing is, getting new business is not all that hard. I was talking with some friends over coffee and another woman joined us. She knew one of my fiends from work and just happened to be stopping by the coffee shop. Out of the blue, she mentioned that she was looking around for someone to design some party invitations for her daughter’s first birthday. So, my friend Michelle spoke up and mentioned that I do graphic design work. We exchanges e-mail addresses, I sent her some samples later that night, and I got myself a new freelance job!

Easy as pie.

Now I just need to remember to work my design skills into my regular conversations on a regular basis.
