Back to Back Birthday Parties

I love being a stay-at-home mom. In fact, that is why I have put off going back to work for at least another year. I love being there for my daughter when she gets home from school, bring able to volunteer, attend meetings, do errands without racing around at night, and spending extra time cooking and organizing.

One of the things I have been spending a lot of time organizing lately is all of the cards and gifts I need to buy for all of the birthday parties Gigi is being invited to lately. In fact, I have an RSVP call to make and really should pause right now and get that done…

OK, all done. I feel better now that I have that call made.

Have you ever thought about buying gifts and cards in bulk? I do it all of the time. After Christmas, I found some ballerina Barbie dolls for an amazing price and I bought several. They are in the gift closet and one of the dolls is going to be wrapped up for the birthday party we are going to on Saturday. It makes it all the more worthwhile that the invitation for this party is ballet-themed!

I also buy birthday cards in bulk from sites like CardsDirect. It saves me money in the long run, and it saves me time since I know that all I have do is go look in my card box and personalize one of the cards I already have on hand. For example, take a card like the one I included below. It’s cute and kid-friendly, but it can be used for nearly anyone’s birthday. Plus, everyone loves cupcakes.
