…and then there are Vacations.

There are vacations and then there are luxury vacations. I mean, are you driving north for two days and sleeping on your aunt’s hide-away couch, or are you staying in a posh hotel and eating out every night? It makes a difference.

I have not actually taken a vacation when re I did not stay with friend or family in several years. I think it was 2005 when we rented the 4 bedroom villa in Orlando and did all the theme parks. Still, it was only Orlando and we do already live in Florida. When I started planning the vacation that year, I had something like Estes Park, CO in mind.

Now that I am a single mom and my daughter is only 5, I assume it will be several more years before I take another luxury vacation. My kid needs to be old enough to really enjoy things. Right now she is thrilled to pieces with a trip to my dad’s and tubing trips down the Shenandoah River.
