Getting Away Without Kids
Last weekend I went to Disney with a girlfriend and our daughters. It was a whole lot of fun, but relaxing is one adjective I would absolutely not use. I loved every minute of the trip. We hit three parks and even did character dining. There is just something about traveling with kids that is more work than you could ever imagine, though. I needed two full days to really recover.
Now, my friend thinks we should round up a couple more of the gals and get way on our own. Sounds good to me. I have been spending time this morning while my daughter sleeps off the flu searching for flights, a cheap hotel, Las Vegas shows and any related discount I can find. I don’t want to spent too much cash, but I think a getaway like this could be a once in a lifetime thing. I am a mom. All of my friends are moms. Getting away from the kids takes careful planning. If we can make it work, it will be a weekend to remember.
