Baby Memories

My daughter just turned five last week. Five! I can hardly believe it. I have no idea how the time went so fast, but it could have something to do with the divorce, several moves and my being back in school. We have just been so busy that the little things have passed us by.

I was out in the garage this week looking though some plastic tubs of her baby clothes. I look at my tall girl, long legged and willowy, and I can hardly imagine she was as small as her newborn sleepers and dresses. I gave her some to put on her dolls. Her dolls! My baby used to be as small as a doll. I am in awe.

Everyone tells me that now that she is in school, time only moves faster. I want things to slow down. I cringe as each moth passes now. Did we even HAVE January this year? I suppose that I will blink and when I open my eyes, Gigi will be standing in front of me in her graduation gown, or her wedding gown, or a hospital gown as she holds her own baby.
