Naked, Natural, and Not a Bit Naughty

I am a big fan of products made without too many chemicals and harsh ingredients. In fact, the first ingredient in the shampoo I use most often is rose water. I tried a new shampoo this week, though, and it is impressively natural.

Naked Naturals does not have harsh chemicals, like DEA, TEA, or lauryl sulfates. Go get the bottle of shampoo you use most often. Look at the ingredients. I am willing to bet that sodium lauryl (laureth) sulfate is the 2nd or 3rd ingredient. It is a detergent that is used in personal care items mostly because it is cheap and foams up nicely.

But, sodium laureth sulfate is hard on your skin. When it rinses off, it takes the top layer of moisture with it. This is particularly bad for people who have skin issues like dermatitis, acne, eczema, psoriasis and chemical sensitivity.

Using a natural shampoo and conditioner is just good sense. No matter if you are prone to dry skin or not, you will like Naked Naturals, because it doesn’t use artificial colors or nasty synthetic fragrances. Actually, I usually hate things that are lavender scented, because the synthetic lavender scent most poepele use is way too strong for me. The Awapuhi & Lavender shampoo for color treated hair by Naked Naturals has a fresh, light, clean scent. And, it rinses out well and left my hair feeling silky.
