Summer Vacation

This is the first year I have had to work around my daughter’s school schedule to book vacations. In the past, we just went when we wanted to go. Now, there is a real need to make sure she is in class daily and I’m responsible for making sure she gets as much out of school as possible.

So, I am looking for cheap flights into Dulles for the week after school is over. I want to go spend some time with my dad and my daughter is eager to see her grandpa again. I have not seen him since my grandmother’s funeral in September. Of course, we have Skype, so we do “see” him often, but it’s not the same. Plus, I think my daughter is finally old enough to hop on the tain with me and ride into DC to see the Smithsonian museums. In the past, I have actually felt weary just thinking about toting her into the District, but I think she is ready to really appreciate the museums now.

I like to look for my flights on LowFares.com, because they search multiple travel booking portals in one fell swoop. That means I am not bouncing around the net looking up prices on a dozen different sites, searching for the best deal. I can just use one search and it gives me the results from sites like Travelocity, Expedia, and Priceline (just to name a few).
