Chix Can Fix

I’m remodeling in fits and starts. I really need to replace the vanity and sink in the main bath, but it is a really funny height and the tile work around it would suffer if I tried to put in a standard vanity. So, I have to work out a creative fix before I can do anything. I might just drop in a new sink and counter and keep the existing cabinets. I would repaint them, though, probably in a Shabby Chic distressed style.

While I am trying to come with the solution that will make it all work, I can still go about things like installing new bathroom lights and mirrors. That’s easy enough. Plus, I want to repaint and get new shelves for the wall above the commode. I can do it all on my own and for relatively little money. I’m only semi handy around the house, but I have a book called Chix Can Fix by Norma Vally and it gives me a little more courage.
