One of my best friends is throwing a dinner party for after her daughter takes part in her first communion. She is hiring a caterer, ordering flowers, buying little favors for all of the guests to keep as mementos and even having special communion invitations printed. It is an all out festive event.

Now, my job is to help her round up an appropriate item to give as a memento. When my daughter had her first birthday, I printed up a picture and a little saying with the date and I decoupaged candles. They turned out SO cute, they were easy to do and in most cases when I walk into someone’s home who was at that party, I still see the candle out of a shelf somewhere. I’m not sure I’m up to offering to do the whole thing for her, but if she thinks it is a good option, I am indeed willing to help.
