Audio Advertising Online

How many of you use Adsense or another form of contextual advertising on your website or blog? I’m willing to bet that most of my readers do. Contextual advertising is usually text-based and programmed to display ads that reflect the content (context) of your website. That way, your visitors are likely to actually find ads that interest them and they are more likely to click through and make purchases. It is the most successful form of online advertising to date.

There is another game in town, though. I will tell you now that I did sign up for the advertising network I am about to talk about and will be testing it out in the weeks to come. I hope to be able to come back and give you more information as time gores by: what I like, what I don’t like, what works,

NetAudioAds™ Pay-Per-Play advertising is audio advertising for your blog or website. When you place the code on a web page, a 5-second audio clip plays advertising for national brands like Taco Bell or Harley Davidson. Unlike traditional contextual ads where you are only paid if the user clicks on the ads, you are paid for every single page loads that triggers an audio clip (though there are safeties in place to combat bots and people who just sit and hit reload on a site).

Because the system is contextually triggered, advertisers are serving ads to web surfers who have specific interests, demographics and geographic locations.

Until February 1, 2008 Net Audio Ads™ is running an affiliate program. If you sign up before them, you can actually make a profit off of the income generated by anyone who signs up under you. After that, all new members will simply generate income off of their own web site, but you have to admit it is still a good deal 100% of your traffic can be making you advertising income.

Some people might be thinking that an audio clip that plays upon page load is annoying, but think about how brief a 5-second message really is. I will be testing out the new system on my hair bows site and soliciting feedback from my web site visitors.
