I love it when one of my friends asks me to shop for them. Sometimes it is because they don’t have time to pick up a gift for a party or a family member. Other times it is because they are credited me with good taste and a nose for bargains. In any event, I enjoy playing scout for my friends.

My friend Karen is putting together a home office for her therapy business. She and her husband had an office build in where their 3rd car in the garage used to be. I think it was a fantastic move, because in the past Karen has leased space in with a larger therapy practice and it was not panning out for her financially. She is going to be able to keep all of her clients and work from home, all the while providing a separate entrance and lots of privacy. Good for her.

So, my talk in the next couple of weeks is to look for contemporary office furniture for her new office space. We don’t have that many stores locally that specialize in office furniture that actually looks cool, so I will probably take some jaunts over into Tampa and look around. And since this is a task for Karen’s business, she is paying me a consult fee. All the better, I say!
